Osmotic agent
Osmotic agent — mechanism card
- Creates an osmotic gradient that draws water across membranes
- Reduces intracranial/intraocular pressure or forces diuresis
- Can transiently expand intravascular volume before diuresis
- Draws water by osmotic gradient
Drugs with this mechanism (3)
